Dr. R.G. Anand – A dedicated selfless person with humble background serving our society past 20 years to improve the lives of common deserving people especially children. Through his services Dr. R.G. Anand had personally supported thousands of people with food, care & helping in every way to empower their livelihood. His special care &relentless service in the field of Child psychology and sociology for many years made him a well- known figure across our Nation, especially for his contribution for improving children mental, emotional, and social development. Dr. R.G. Anand was born in a small village in Pudukottai district, Tamilnadu in an ordinary family on 10^th July 1983 to parents who were school teachers. After his graduation in medicine (MBBS), Tsunami disaster created a deep impact in him & due to the community disease, he opted MD (Preventive & social medicine - community Medicine – Public health) in 2011 &in 2012 he was honored with Fellowship in HIV Medicines from CMC Vellore - One of the top-ranked educational, healthcare and research institutes in the country. He was selected as program officer in 2012 by govt. of India under National AIDS Control Organization (NACO). In this period, Dr. R.G Anand was associated with many National & International health agencies for prevention of HIV from mother to child.

He was promoted as regional coordinator under department of AIDS control (Govt of India) for Tamilnadu, Puducherry, Kerala& Andaman Nicobar.
In 2013, due to his dedicated services the AIDS transmission between mother to child was brought down to zero transmission. For such wonderful services, Dr. R.G Anand was awarded by Department of Aids Control.
His passion to service made him to focus in field study & telemedicine methodology to improve the physical quality of life index, which he collaborated with countries like Czech Republic, Botswana & Lithuania.
Due to his ambition to empower children, he completed Bachelor of Legislative Law (LLB) to help needy children & their families to bring awareness, knowledge & adoption of various child protection laws as per Indian constitution.
As motivated under guidance of most respected herexcellency Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Puducherry Dr. KiranBedi, IPS, (Retd), Dr. R.G. Anand served in many roles to empower the society & poor children.
After becoming Member of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) July 2018, Dr. R.G. Anand has travelled length & breadth of our Nation – 20 states, 135 districts and saved lives of more than 5000 children and gave them the confidence &protected the rights of the deserving children and empowered their lives.

National level trainer (NACO) & trained more than 1000 doctors & 20,000 nurses on HIV/AIDS

With patriotism in blood & children welfare in heart, he significantly contributed majority of his youth days for the welfare & empowerment of the poor children. His achievement and services are a perfect example for every youth to follow across the Nation & particularly in Tamilnadu.
